What You'll Learn
Are you overwhelmed or skeptical of all the "mushroom products" out there like mushroom coffee, or Lions Mane, chaga, and reishi supplements? Do you want to know what to look for, what questions to consider, and what actually makes effective medicine? Whether you are doubtful, buying in stores, or interested in making your own fungal medicines, come join Fork in the Path for a presentation exploring the intersections of fungal biochemistry, mushrooms & the functional & medicinal mushroom industry. We will also cover some DIY techniques, nutrition & interpreting product labels.
Presenter
This program is presented by Ryath Fujita Beauchene, a Californian mycological educator and Vice President of the Sonoma Mycological Association. Ryath has been a mushroom forager, cultivator, and researcher for 16 years and teaches about fungal ecology, ethnomycology, mushroom identification & cultivation, fungalism, and the functional mushroom industry. He has a particular interest in adaptogens, ethnomycology, cooking, semantics, symbiosis, and how ecosystem health includes human health. It is Ryath's hope that by showing people the valuable potency of natural medicines we may become more devoted and reciprocal in our relationships to our planet's diverse ecologies and peoples.
